GFRP, the Early Learning Lab and the National Center for Families Learning, explore five ways that human-centered design benefits family engagement practice.

At Global Family Research Project, we are invested in highlighting new approaches for raising up families’ voices and perspectives. In collaboration with the Early Learning Lab and the National Center for Families Learning, we identify and explore five benefits that human-centered design provides for family engagement.

In “5 Benefits of Human-Centered Design Thinking for Family Engagement,” we share how this process empowers families and creates equity, challenges assumptions and biases, helps educators to consider families’ wishes and desires, promotes collaborative decision making, and pushes educators out of their comfort zone.
